mitchman
Found an awesome deal on a mad river synergy 14, any input on this model? I would be looking for something that i could take in the salt ponds of cape cod but out onto nantucket sound/buzzards bay. I also need something that I could go long distance on some trips too. How does it compare to the redfish 14, tarpon 14 or OK 13 prowler?
FishBoi
honestly i dont know much about the madriver synergy but i really like kayaks with hatches in the front. you can take much more gear........if you plan to do any overnight trips. I would go with the heritage RedFish 14 instead. i own a heritage redfish 12 and love it and i have only heard good things on the redfish 14 what every yak you decide to go with makeshure that you test paddle HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kross57
It has no scupper holes. When water gets in, it stays in. Other than flat water paddling I would avoid it. The boat is also very heavy for a 14-foot yak. IMO better choices out there,

I found a new one marked down over 50% and got really excited. I guess I will pass....
