Q: What do the top five titans, CEO's...... no, lying stealing, cheating, oppressors of the average working man, baby haters, of Wall Street all have in common?

Lloyd Blankfein - Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Jamie Dimon - J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.

John Mack Morgan Stanley

Vikram Pandit - Citigroup Inc.

Richard Fuld - Lehman Brothers Inc.

A: They are all life-long Democrats.

Who would have thought? Actually, my own observation over the past 26 years of working on the Street, is that the majority of the top Wall Street executives have been Democrats.

America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave.

The cool thing is that it's a good argument for Republicans, either way.

If they're the majority of the ultra-wealthy, then there is a good argument that Republicans are smarter with money. If there are more of them that are democrats, then we can lay rest the claim that republicans are the hard core of the "evil rich" class.

When you guys work out the who's who of big bucks, just let us know so we can adjust the arguments accordingly. cwm27.gifcwm27.gifcwm27.gifcwm27.gifcwm27.gif

Actually, it's not a good argument but was a nice try. If you look at the list, the majority of the CEO's that screwed their shareholders and America over were Repubs. Spin that however you'd like.

Hank Greenberg- Republican [2005 - He was cleared of criminal wrong notwithstanding the incredible efforts of a former democrat governor of NY who was a true criminal (and scum bag extraordinaire) but nominally, I will give you a + 1].

Alan Greenspin-Republican [He was a CEO of a private publicly traded company that failed during this mess? 0]

Ben Bernanke- Republican [A CEO of a private, publicly traded company that failed??? I see a pattern of you naming multiple CEOs/Former CEOs of the same institutions to pad your numbers 0]

Martin Sullivan-Foreigner [push, but if you listed him as a republican, I would have given it to you as his $$$ speaks R]

Robert Willumstad-Republican [What the hell wrong did this guy do, other than turn down his $22 million severance payment. He did the RIGHT thing. He took over as CEO in June, 2008. He was there for 3 months!!! Sullivan was at the helm when most of the **** took place (i.e., in mid 2007). Plus, this guys campaign contributions are split evenly between R and D. Throwing out a name just because he is nominally a republican that was nominally a CEO is weak. Why not just add Abraham Lincoln to your list if it is going to be this meaningless -1]

Edward M. Liddy-Republican [He just started like what, yesterday. And how many CEOs /former CEOs of AIG are you gonna list You wanna name Cornelius Vander Starr??? -1]

James Cayne-Republican [Ok, But has also contributed significantly to many prominent Dems that had their hands out including Gephart, Dodd, Conway, Reed, Schumer Corzine, Daschle, Rangel, Lloyd Bentsen, Liz Holtzman, Bill Bradley, Al Gore, Cranston, Biden, Glenn push].

Richard Fuld-Democrat -1

Lloyd Blankfein- Democrat -1

Henry Paulson- Republican [Don't you think it is fair to put Corzine on the list of you are going to put Paulson on the list? push]

John Thain- Republican +1

E. Stanley O'Neal- Democrat but also a Bush Ranger push

Daniel Mudd- Republican [ok, but fundamental fairness demands you include Franklin Raines here as well. How much "profit" did they have to write off when he was forced to step down??? push]

Richard Syron- probably Democrat [probably a safe assumption. 2 out of 3 times he opens up his wallet, he donates to the Dems]. -1
