Slingin Eels
Sorry, not being rude but we have had our share of 'southern boys" come visit our area. Some nice guys and some, well. It's an open invite dude, <Edit - major spotburn ~ Sudsy>. Good Luck. How's LBI? Anything lately? Was thinking on heading to my relative's house in Margate this weekend. Bunker heads my friend, forget the clams.

Sudsy
Technically the question is too specific, we keep reports to 5 mile stretches, avoiding naming towns. A lot of people here (me included) can get a bit "rude" when people ask for specific spots. Yer new so you deserve a bit of direction before the the peanut gallery does the "pile on the bunny" routine.  Here's the scoop, the fish have been in and out pretty much everywhere between Sandy Hook and IBSP, 90% of them are about 25" to 27" and you have as good a shot in 'Squan as you do everywhere else.  For future reference:  Some popular acronyms (not necessarily acceptable for reports):  SH- Sandy Hook  NoMoCo- Northern Monmouth County  SoMoCo- Southern Monmouth County  SFZ-Spring Fling Zone (SRI-Shark River Inlet to MI- Manasquan Inlet)  OC Ocean County  IBSP-Island Beach State Park  LBI- Long Beach Island  AC- Atlantic County  CISP- Corson's Inlet State Park  CMC- Cape May County  CMR- Cape May Rips  DB- Delaware Bay  Add RB (Raritan Bay) to the list and just add "in the back" to any of the above acronyms to signify bay or rivers and you have it covered.  Pay to fish places like the Keansburg pier are OK too I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis  Social Distancing since 1962

TimS
there are some ignorant prics out there haha. Â Starting with you River Rat 784 - you aren't welcome here, not under any name, not under any BS imaginary profile - go somewhere else, share your vulgar, childish, antagonistic crap with them. Thanks. Â Â TimS Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere. Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips. Â Because he mentioned one of NJ's largest cities by initial - if you stopped pointing it out, nobody would notice much less care. People mention much smaller areas regularly, yet I don't remember you asking for them to be edited. If they named a street and gave directions where to stand, it would be spot burning.
