My good novice fishermen:

Soft plastics are excellent artificial lures that man ever created on this earth.

Soft plastics have some important characteristics that should be indicated:

1. Seems as a real life form.

2. Has more natural presentations in fish habitat.

3. Soft plastics present diverse forms (salamanders, grubs, worms, eels, fish, crabs others forms).

4. Soft plastics present a variety of colors (all the spectrum visible for humans) and the spectrum visible for fish; fish can see color complementary as ultraviolet and infrared colors .

5. Soft plastics are created with good movement and vibrating properties, for successful applications when the fishermen work with them in the water.

6. Soft plastics can be armed with jigs or bucktails and use with fishing styles like carolina, texas or florida.

The applications are limitless.

7. Worked correctly in the water soft plastics are incredible to capture the big fish.

8. Soft plastics are not expensive.

9. Soft plastics allow to carry out the fishing with many possibilities or variants.

10. Choose your best soft plastic according to the native species of your fishing area and ask to the experts of the SOL Forum.

For fresh and saltwater applications.

We're very fond of our plastics over here as well Grand Master.smile.gif Plastics are used the same way as you descibed here on the East Coast for stripers. We use them on jig heads, trailers for Bucktail jigs and sometimes just twitched naturally in the wash with nothing but a hook for the times when the fish are really picky.wink.gif

What type of plastics do you use in Costa Rica? The big sellers over here are FinS fish, Sluggo's and Bass Assasigns.wink.gif

My good Mike:

My recommendation for dark water conditions:

The range of dark colors of the spectrum and color that have bigger longitude of vision (red).

Thousands of dark color combinations can be, in other words your choice:

Blue

Black

Dark green

Red

Brown

Purple

Combination of colors mentioned.

With addition of more colors designed with phosphorescence properties.
