jordanp
When you are planning your blackfish trips? Do you check the tides? What phase is the moon in? Do you just pick a day & go

Finny
I go with my son on weekends when he's mother is sound asleep we sneak out at 4am if she wakes up then the moon is bad fishing will not be good, if she does't then it will be a good day, the nite bite will be a little off though if you want to hear God laugh tell Him your plans
Fly By Nite
I check the conditions the night before...that is all. If i can go, i go, weather permitting. Even if they chew hard for a short while and the rest of the time ur picking it's still worth it to me...
stresst
Just pick a good weather day and go. If you worry about tides, moon, etc you would never get out. Its hard enough to find days when the weather and wind cooperate never mind tide and moon. JMO

I don't concern myself with tides, moon etc. I will fish for tog as long as I can stand up on the boat without banging against the rail. No fun coming home all bruised up any more.
