ChuckDgaf
I fished the Port Jervis area on the D a couple of weeks ago, got a couple of Smallies. Curts Sport Shop, a shop that brings me back to my youth, is still there... hanging on.

Mick2360
Still a couple of small shops left but only one in the PJ area; unsure of the name of it. They have fallen on very hard times. The old bookstore on front st is closing; two floors of books a buck a piece....my wife is going to kill me if I but any more books! I still do the shad run under the 84 bridge every spring. Some of the local gas stations carry shad darts. Posting on My Own Dime Since 2006.

richs
Curts- is that the place with the bait wells in the floor? Used to fish some private lakes up that way. Great memores. No more skunks. Maybe you didn't hear about it, you been gone a long time.
oldyankee
were in the floor, Kurt would open them up when you needed bait... FISH HARD, CARRY ON THE TRADITION
ChuckDgaf
I used to fish Highland Lake with some friends in the early 80's and use to stop in to Curts to get bait and tackle. Took a ride up there a couple of years ago to relive the old route upstate and Curts was still there. Been up there fishing the Delaware a few times since than. passiton
We just rode up through that area to plan a spring kayak float trip. We went all the way up to Narrowsburg and followed the river down through Hawks Nest. I live just South of the Milford Bridge, so that area is pretty easy to access. I may hit the shad run for the first time this spring. I'm usually rolling south at that time to find early stripers! NOBODY here has a pass to blow out someone else's candle in order to make theirs shine brighter. TLDig[
