Patrick9915
5000 BTUs isn't that much I don't think. I think our new pellet stove is rated to 50,000 BTU.

Patrick9915
Pellet stove need an exhaust right? I am in an apartment..... Yeah, we're going to route it up our normal chimney flue. In an apartment, that might do okay but 400 bucks is pretty steep. Invest in some blankets and some space heaters. Spend one quarter of the cost and you're fine. Patrick9915
So I just looked up the ratings. Wide spectrum there. Some gave it 1 star, while others gave it 5. Quite the discrepancy there. Seems it balances out at 2.5 stars out of 5.
BranfordJeff
You can buy a small Pelonis type ceramic heater for about $20, and that should cover a couple years electricity, too, for the $400 (PLUS electricity) you'll have tothrow down for the edenpure. Why not just turn up the thermostat a little, though?
lowpine
My friend has one of those heaters. He likes it, as it is efficient and does a good job heating his small house. Like I said, He has a small house, probably 900 sq/ft. He keeps it between the main room and the bedroom. Apparently, it heats the objects in the room, not the air. He showed it to me and was very excited about it. He's thrifty and seemed convinced that the $400 bucks was well spent. It was summertime when I visited, so I didn't get to see it in action. later, steve trying it has worked so far..... keep trying!
