Michael P Posted November 12, 2008 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 I have a question for those that collect: I have a Miller Autocrat reel built by Shakespeare in it's original lockable box and in true mint condition. I am almost certain the reel was only manufactured for one year, perhaps 2, back in the mid 30's. I also have an original Shakespeare catalog with that reel in it. I am not entertaining offers, BUT, from people that do collect older reels and such, does having the 'set' add to the value of the pair? Either way, with the catalogue, I've seen 'em go for close to a grand. I've run across the reel a few times, but only once the catalog. Paid almost as much for the damn piece of paper as I did for the reel!
