ActionBastage
Why is this not surprising: BUSH ANGER: OBAMA AIDES LEAK CHAT DETAILS Tue Nov 11 2008 09:28:10 ET Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim. "Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned. "BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion." The two met at the White House in private, without staff. "Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES. MORE The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting." Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office. "Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT. Developing... ActionBastage
May seem like a joke to you but it shows his character and quality of his team and mindset. Also, not the smartest thing to do for the country. Do something like this out of the gate, will it make it harder or easier for him and his team to get the info they need. Or does it create a bitter feeling for the transition team, and will it effect how far they will be willing to go the extra mile and help. Bottom line, stupid move and not good for the country. Classless and a fumble right at the start. Somehow, not surprising. Lets see if they wisen up shall we. So does it help the USA as a whole for Obama to piss off the outgoing team or help the USA? I'll bet the latter. "My hair is a yellar and I'm always a combin" NC

I guess he's throwing a snit that Obama leaked out just how pathetic he is. Aid to the Auto Industry will not 'save' it, just prolong the suffering. Where is the 'incentive' to tell Obama anything other then the bare minimum necessary now that he has exhibited a propensity to have Diarrhea of the mouth? *
fishnmagician
SHOCKING, that the vocal advocates for the losing party are making an issue out of this. I had no idea this was a matter of class. just more of Bush's desire to keep Politics a close door affair, I appreciate the transparency. Our Automotive Manufacturing has NATIONAL SECURITY implications, the time to act is now.... America needs to know that bush won't act in our interest, unless he gets a pay out to his cronies, or whoever benefits from this Columbia deal he is so hot for.
