Capper, thank you. I just used your post as a conversation starter with my two older boys. They always march in our local Memorial Day and Veterans Day parades and these pics really helped reinforce why we march.

Capper thank you, my son is a US marine, last year he was in Iraq, but thanks God he's back home and will spend this week end with us.

God bles our troops.

This is a very powerful post.

 

I thought about yesterday when someone said in the store I was in, " Have a Happy Holiday ". I know they meant well, but it speaks more to their ignorance as to what exactly memorial day is. Something very common today..sadly.

 

It is not a Holiday, it is a day of remembrance and acknowledgement of the cost of freedom.

 

Over 4000 families today understand that all too well. Something I will always keep in mind.

 

As a Veteran I humbly thank you, Todd.

Thanks for the bump Capper. I know many more will reflect on today with a finer appreciation of the sacrifices of our service men and women due to these pics.
