westhavendave
I have a fiberglass tub and shower enclosure that is a bear to clean. I spend two hours sometimes with tilex and a scotchbrite removing soap scum. I know it may not exist, but is there any type of spray on , rinse off product that works? A friend at work also told me to wax the shower walls after they are clean to enhance runoff of water droplets. Never heard of that before. As long as i am not taking the "waxoff" in the shower! KevinB
Kaboom is the best cleaner i've used yet, still alot of work initially. I have read alot about people putting Rain-X on their shower stalls, similar to the wax idea. I usually just do a quick wipe down with my towel after I've dried myself and throw it in the hamper afterwards.

Steve in Mass
Kaboom is the best cleaner i've used yet, still alot of work initially.  Um, Kaboob sucks.........(yes, that was spelled that way on purpose)....bought it once cause it was on sale and had a coupon on the front of the bottle......used half of the bottle on a not too dirty/filmed of a shower, and it didn't touch the stuff I wanted to get off. Coulda used straight water with better results ....what was left in the bottle was brought back to the store for a refund.   So far, nothing better than Tilex, other than spraying/misting with bleach and scrubbing with Ajax or Comet............ KevinB
lol,I've heard them all ,Kaplat, Kablah, Kaplunk, Krapboom, etc. It does get mixed reviews, the most important thing for me is something that cleans and doesnt damage, so far it works very well for my fiberglass tub. Comet/Ajax will scratch a fiberglass tub, and bleach can stain it if not diluted and removed from the surface quickly, I cant use those but I will give Tilex a try again. shbeachbum
I swear by a Home Depot product called Zep Tub,Shower Tile cleaner. Spray it on and use a brush to get the scum off. A light scrubbing is all you need. Just have good ventilation. Â A plumbing house employee once told me to wax the shower monthly with car wax and it will stay clean. fishn808
Barkeeper's Friend works like Ajax or Comet without the abrasives. It's a bleach in powder form that is activated when water is added. Put it on a wet Scotchbrite pad or sponge and scrub away.
alaskansteve
wood bleach or oxycilic acid. I'd bet most of those cleaners have some of it in it.
HardyG
Go to Homies or Blowes and buy a few industrial spray bottles and a big container of CLR. Mix equal parts CLR, water and white vinegar, along with about two tablespoons of Dawn. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and brush off with a soft brush. Just imagine how happy you would be if you lost everything you have in life and then suddenly got it back SOL Member #
fishchile
Clorox Soap Scum Remover and or Soft Scrub. Spray it on and let it sit. I use a window cleaner with the soft scrub (Sponge on one side, squeegee on the other). Â I find that Tilex is basically only good for mold and mildew. I tried the Zep just last night and it worked great, really cuts through the soapscum, barely any effort needed on my part. I will try barkeepers on a rust spot at some point. ZEP is good stuff
