MikeMc
So I stopped by one of my local spots yesterday and there's only one guy there, a regular named Al. Al was catching fish a bit earlier on rubber worms but said the bite had died down. I fished the creek side for a bit with a super fluke and then hit the lakeside with no luck. Stopped to talk to Al before leaving and make a few more casts. While we were talking, Al switched to shiners and started bailing fish. I'm getting nothing. We start talking about bait versus lures when a dark cloud descends over me and next thing I know I'm grabbing a shiner out of Al's bait bucket. Caught 2 bass, one about 14 inches before the veil lifted and I went on my way. I feel so dirty. You know it must be a penguin bound down if you hear that terrible screaming and there ain't no other birds around.

Apexkeeper
I use bait all the time in the cold weather. Bass slow way down and get lazy when the water temp drops, Bait is the way to go. If you wanna throw lures and catch fish target cold water species. Trout are in full swing, and the toothy critters are biting.

Lucky
Whatever it takes to get that fix. You addict "Lucky" is a fictional character on the interwebs. Nothing "Lucky" says or does can be or should be construed as a real thought by an actual person. Objects in your rear view mirror may appear to be closer than they actually are. MrJesse34
Fishing bait is a great way to catch random stuff, especially in a lake that has alot of different species. If I go out on a boat, chances are I'll have one bait pole in the water and another pole fishing lures and stuff.
