Sudsy
Is this a good thing for the Jets? I thought Law was done / over the hill I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
I.C. Sines
perhaps a little gamesmanship on the Jets part . can't hurt . if he sticks around and rounds into shape he can contribute without question . maybe in nickel and dime packages . Gamakatsu
You have to ask yourself, "Why was he available in the first place?" . http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/11/10/jets-sign-cb-law/ It is the latest chapter in the border war between New York and New England. Those were the two teams that continued to pursue Law throughout the off-season. The Patriots remained in contract with Law up until Monday, and the Saints weighed in to see if they could lure Law to New Orleans. But Law opted Monday to play with New York, where his first game back with the Jets will be against the Patriots.

MikeM58
If Law was still any good, he wouldn't have been available to anyone, he would have been on a roster. He's a nickle or dime back at best, and a desperation fill in at that.

Gamakatsu
Eric Smith is dealing with a concussion and they're talking using Law at safety as well as corner. Scuttlebutt on the radio was that Smith was giving the rest of the secondary fits. I wouldn't try to read too much into this. They're lacking a little depth in the pass coverage positions. That's about the extent.
Gamakatsu
I think he could still keep up with Moss Darelle Revis and Kerry Rhodes will deal with Moss. Besides, it's about time for him to have a breakdown. Does he have any TD passes this year? Welker is a far greater concern to me. He's going to have a big game. Elam is doing a good job of late and perhaps Smith is still hurt, not that Smith deserves his job back the way Elam is playing. If all the fish you dreamed of came into your creel by wishing, why think of all the joy you would miss then, there'd be no more fun in fishing. Gamakatsu
Just heard they cut Justin Miller to make room for Law. Miller is good, but he has not played a down the whole season due to injuries. And there we have it, it was a depth issue.
