I just spent the last 2 hours going thru posts either directly from AS or ones that he answered and I have to say his great pic's and fishing and hunting insight are second to none that I have seen here. What an enjoyable thing it was to see and rad about his exploits. Wish I had the sac to move up there and do the same type of thing, I know I would love it but I would really miss my family. Thanx a million Steve!!

I have seen much of HPD and it is awesome, the only thing it is more vacation type stuff(Not meant to be a bad thaing) were as AS 's stuff is an actual job and lifestyle I woud enjoy. I think working like that , in that enviorment, has to be one of the most rewarding things. I will be reading some of the others while I am out of work and have free time.

Thank you all and your making me blush. I am a jersey boy, lived in shark river hills section of neptune township for a lot of years but i count my blessings every day being able to live here in Alaska and to live the lifestyle i have. I'm betting you guys wouldn't of liked me so much back when i was choking fish on the jersey shore !!!

just off of the allenhurst jetty, mostly blues with enough weakfish to make it fun.

yeah i'm like horsesh** i'm everywhere(guess thats a old saying these days??) and i'll keep taking and posting pictures as long as my camera doesn't freeze up to bad. Its flurrying snow out right now, 20 degrees and the wind has been blowing pretty hard for the last 2 days, we had gusts up to 50mph last night.

I have to say that hanging out on SOL reminds me of hanging out at the 8th ave parking lot in Asbury with all the old time members of the Asbury Park fishing club, great bunch of guys all around. argue.gif I'm just amazed at how much the fishing scene has changed back at the shore. I sure do enjoy looking at the pictures from the shore and seeing how much has changed.

View PostAlaska Steve offers some great stuff. If I were going to add another to my list I would suggest anything by Bassdozer. He does'nt post here much anymore but if you do a search you'll find some real treasures... Mike

Thanx Mike, I will be going thru the list of names given so far. I am out of work(union plumber) due to 2 torn ligaments which need surgery in december so I have some spare time to look into the past postings here. This site has been nothing but awesome in everyway. I can't think of a more informative and enjoyable way to spend my online time.
