RI: best part of CT
Anybody else notice? I bought an 8 pack of 9" white slug-gos and they have certain new features....eye recesses, a mold line running top to bottom all around, and dimples that appear to be where hooks would exit the belly were the bait tandem rigged from the factory. Looks like they're using the same molds for the straight slug-gos now that they use when they're making the tandems. I doubt it will have that great an impact but I wonder - the noses seem a little thinner and a little more turned up on the new ones. Capio pisces, ergo sum. RogueWave
Never yet thrown a Sluggo myself so can't answer... but I admit the new Large (12"?) size does intrigue me... Any reviews on it yet? Here... or elsewhere? (Worth the price? Culls Large? Holds up to multiple fish? )
stakones
Curious about the 12" also. Anybody use them? I like the 9" but they definintely don't hold up to multiple fish and doubt these will either. But you kinda got expect that with these.
mps219
I used the 12" a lot this Spring in the CT River. I did very well with them, but could find no definitive sign of them working better than the 9". They do add a little to casting distance and stay submerged much easier. I like them and they definitely hold a spot in my surf bag right next to the 9"
