Matt Z
Going to Currituck/Corola for New Years, should I even worry about bringing my gear? I love the outer banks, but have never stayed in a house this north and I have definetly never been here in the December/January timeframe. Matt Z
that settles it. I will be out on the sand every morning bearing the cold and throwing some bait out incase any stripers or big blues happen along. Â Any other suggestions would be much appreciated -bait for this time of year -rigging techniques -location (never fished from a pier before)
beachtoad
Your gonna have a good ride to a pier from up there. I would fish the beach. Look for some hole @ low tide. Then fish them @ high tide. NCBBA # 12580
derf
-location (never fished from a pier before) Â all the piers are closed at that time of the year .... derf
Matt Z
how exactly do you locate a hole? Or are you referring to a break between the waves? Â probably a silly question, but i had to ask.
brianbutler10
all the piers are closed at that time of the year  maybe not all closed, but very limited, and definitely only day time use..... NCBBA #5665
