JFishKing
what do you use it to throw most often... how many ounces will you load on it? Have you had any problems with it? Do you own any other comparable rods that you could compare it to?
Gmofftarki
I've got the 2pc. It doesn't really like plugs bigger than 2 3/8, despite the nominal 1-4 rating. I'd rate it as being "happiest" at 1.2-1.8oz. It snapped on me below the ferrule, though, with a 2oz lure, and I've heard a lot of complaints of them being snapped at the tip. If you can hack a 1pc rod, I'd consider either getting a 1083 as a dedicated Bomber Rod, or a 1205 10' which is supposed to be a fair bit stronger than the 1084. Canal Intruder
I have one, and i have to agree with the previous spoken! rated to 3, but happier with 2.5 to 3.0oz! Really dont use it that much! just terrified using graphite, but i love the Lamiglass. Hope this helps you. Henry I take that back, mine is a 126 1mh, rated much higher All Gave Some, Some Gave All

I toss 2 oz most the time - no breakage. I wouldn't toss more than 2 oz's though. Anything bigger goes on the 1205. Learn to Swim...

JFishKing
I have a 1084 that I broke the top 7 inches off and then put a new tip on. Yours for $50. Just have a couple of q's. Did it break off or did you cut it of to make a 8'6'' stick? They have a lifetime warranty, why didnt you send it back to lami to have fixed/replaced? are you the original owner, do you have the warranty paperwork, could you still send the rod back to to lami? nfnDrum
first three numbers are the rods lenght in inches the 4th digit distinguishes the different weights/models in that lenght. I had a 1084-2 broke it below the ferrul, totally my fault. Just broke a tip not so much my fault IMO it shouldn't have broke. These rods are not very forgiving and I mean not at all forgiving. alright i got to ask, what does the # tell you about the rod?Sorry if i sound dumb. And sorry to hijack your thread!!!!!
