get yourself one of those little plug in heaters and plug it in under your desk.

i worked in a few places like that. hot as hell in the summer, froze your butt off in the winter. i brought a fan in and plugged it in during the summer and one of those little electric heaters that blow hot air in the winter.

if they complain about you doing that, tell them that you can't help it. you're freezing your ass off.

if they still complain about it... then call someone.

i mean after all, it is kind of a fire hazard to have the heater there at your desk... but it's a health risk to not have it.wink.gif let management decide which risk they'd rather take public.

Ack. Foo.

I want to die from a good old fashioned case of living.

yeah thought he problem is i pay for heat - plugging the heater in a puts my apartment at risk b gives me an electric bill thats bananas- I pay - I do own the electrical heat and have used it . but really i don think thats the answer - I went to the 311 website and found the acceptable temps for the apt under the law - its seems as though i just need it documented before i go after them.

easier said then done - plan to but for now - with economy he way it is - Coops are not like rental apts - That would be a major undertaking - and I shouldnt have to in any case its my right to have heat i pay for it.I'm not a rich man that has that flexibility like that anyhow - thanks for the thought.

yeah thats a long bad story- 95 apts in the building and at the last board vote 5 including myself showed up - i have rallied people and find that most of the hat problems are from the top apartments the first floor apartmens are on fire- its an old sstem that needs a true mechanic to understand the complexities of a steam system and an old building- Many young - dont have time people and have had so many problems getting things acccomplished with the building are mostly beat down, as I am. I was gung ho at getting peopletogether for a community meeeting and realized\\ after awhile that either a I did not hae the time to be a full time advocate for the building. And our bard would just lie in our faces anyhow which has been done to me anyhow. Sorry for the rant - I have lost a few nights sleep over this -let it go and and now my wifes bitchin about it and I feeel like less thannot being able to care of it after all this time. My wifes is an awesome patient person and I hate not being able to provide the means make this problem right. Thanks for listening need to vent
