shady grady
What kind of floor mat are you using at your work stations? The best part of trashing plugs is making more.
AT Grimaldi
mine is made from oodles of sawdust and blowouts. How is the island treating you? - ATG
angler229
I don't have any but been to others shops that have gym floor padding which works well. Also easy to get and cheap.
Ratty
My wife just picked me up some that are interlocking, about 1/2 inch thick , got them at BJ's Wholesale club, 8 in a package. They're about 2 - 2 1/2' squared. Surfcasting is NOT a crime.
Charleston
I'm using 3000psi concrete. You guys that have mats, besure you don't have a tripping hazard at the edges. Get mats that are beveled or use the edge mats when making an interlocking area. I am old but I'm slow.
minivin5
My mat is 419 Bermuda Grass, as I turn outside in my side yard. What you do with your time is more important than the amount of time you have.
fishdoc
Goodyear matting. I think the same that Ratty mentioned. Might not sound like much, but it does help with leg fatigue.
shady grady
Hey terrance , Island is great , fishing was slow so I got a jump start in the cave. I tossed those sweet little jigs you gave me with no results sorry to say. I will be floating around the island next summer. I may have to bite the bullet and drop the cash one the tapered work station mats. I tried to snag a couple interlocking pads from the kids play room but got busted. Winch
I use an anti fatigue mat. It is used in the food service. There are many types and sizes just google "anti fatigue mat". I got mine from a restaurant that was replacing there old ones so they were free. Had some clean up to do on them but they came out good enough for the shed. If your not using some kind of anti fatigue mat you should look into getting one. Nothing will destroy your back or feet faster than standing on a cement or other hard surface. Here is a picture of one type.
shady grady
Thanks winch, thats the one I have my eye on. Aint cheap, but then again neither is therapy on my back. I have to bite the bullet and just get one. The best part of trashing plugs is making more.

Mantra
I use a small 2x3 anti fatigue mat. Works well especially when the garage floor gets cold.
Sudsy
My wife just picked me up some that are interlocking, about 1/2 inch thick , got them at BJ's Wholesale club, 8 in a package. They're about 2 - 2 1/2' squared. Me too, got em on a blow out sale at Toys R Us. Makes a big difference over standing on concrete I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
