Garcia Conolon fly rods....

can anyone tell me any info on these rods? my father gave me one he had from years ago....i tried to google it, but there isn't much info to be had..... its a 8' , 6-7wt ...... green, 2 piece rod...... thanks!! more sentimental value for me, just curious.....

There is a resident expert over at the fiberglass flyrodders who worked for them and is an avid collector. If you search the archives there you will find a lot of info on them.

 

The bottom rod in this photo is a 70's vintage Garcia and a fine casting rod.

awesome..... thanks alot Jeff..... i love the rod, it has a Pflueger Medalist 1494-DA on it.......that is what i plan to do with it also (bass fishing).... thanks for the info... i really appreciate it..!
