rocket500
Not much. Bigger hooks will slow the action down, or kill it entirely if they are big enough. You can also heat the lips and bend them down, to give them more action.
emgred
There are a few things depending on the plug. Plastic body and plastic lips: 1) Slight to moderate change - Hooks & hook sizes. IE: 16A Bombers - lose the middle hook and go with 2/0 VMC. replace the tail hook with a dressed siwash. 2) More moderate change - loading a plug Adding water, mineral oil, or BB's to a plug. I think if you do a search you will get lots of info on loading Bombers and red fins etc. 3) "Do not try this at home change" take some plastic off the lip with sand paper. Wood plugs with plastic lips. IE: Rapala or, one of my favs, Nil Master Invincible - Hooks & Hook sizes. Hope this helps. ED A Curmudgeon's reputation for malevolence is undeserved. They're neither warped nor evil at heart. They don't hate mankind, just mankind's absurdities.

D.J. Aanensen
Or take out a Dremil and shave some of the bill off for a different waggle...
Sweetwater
Bend eye up or down and to the left or right. If your plug wants to run on its side in a cross current, you can straighten it up nicely by bending the eye. I have become too old to drink bourbon on the rocks. I will still drink it in the parking lot.
