Wildcard777
I have the most success with my bombers at night. Do you think needlefish would be just as productive? I primarily fish the open beach in areas where the bait are sand eels or mullet. For some reason I can't get myself to buy a needlefish but everyone swears by them. ritecoastsurfer
needlefish rule and can cast farther than the bomber, either one can out- perform the other depending on conditions, for example sometimes the bass will be on sandeels on a shallow bar at the end of a cast, the bomber wont reach the needle will and they will slam it for sure
emgred
Two different animals. DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT BOTH. Also remember that needlefish come in floating to fast sinking and everything in between. A Curmudgeon's reputation for malevolence is undeserved. They're neither warped nor evil at heart. They don't hate mankind, just mankind's absurdities.

stripersurfguyny
overall i've had more success on bombers and have never truely become comfortable with needles( they have almost no action) yet... there are times when bass are picking only real narrow profile baits and needles are kings... definitely get some in your arsenal
fishinthedark
Choopy Floating needles in the surf at night especially black red eye. This year at moses fish have mostly been on small baits for me my rotation includes and normally will start with black red eye choppy 1.5 oz needle I will go back and forth between black bomber again red eye, schoolbus bomber, black red eye choppy needle 1.5 oz, yellow 1.5 oz choppy needle, before I click on the bucktail curly tail. Needles can be very effective, yes they it takes a while to gain confidence in them but they can be very good lures especially when fish are on the small profile baits I Fish therefore I Lie

G Lech
i would get some needles especially if you got sand eels around "The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"Lee Wulff
RedJeep
A needle fish is a stick with a lot of hooks on it. Bombers have an action imparting lip. Im still not 100% on them but the past few weeks have got me reaching to them way more regulalry. Those Choppy needles rock.
