Cantilever
I thinks its pathetic that everyone is trying to blame Palin for everything. Making her some kind of scape goat... While I dont think she was the right choice, the only fault is form the ones that picked her. She is who she is, the Republican campaign tried to turn her into something that she wasnt ready for. I cant blame her for taking the offer, who could say no to something like that? IMO shes gettin way too much heat just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. If McCain wasnt so full of crap he would of never picked her. Country first is not picking a gimmick that he never knew or heard of. While I learned about Palin thru the campaign, I found her pretty straight forward, and not full of crap. I didnt agree with some of what she said, but I believe she ment what she said. She just needed more time to understand whats required to be known as a VP or even President pick. Obama has about the same exp, but he was able to learn what was needed to run as president over the last few years. I doubt Palin was doing anything remotly like what Omaba did to prepare. How could she? She had no idea it would happen till just months before the election. Sorry Palin didnt lose or cause anything. McCain lost because people didnt believe he would venture away from the current failure of the republican party. I hope Palin and Ron Paul get together in the near future, I do think they both believe in country first... too bad McCain and the majority of the Republican party dont think that way.... fishinambition
No don't. Don't let anyone forget why choosing someone should have everything to do with qualifications. Gimmicks wont cut it. See this post in 4 years as evidence.

fishinambition
Whether it's her fault or not doesnt matter one bit to me. She was an awful pick and if nothing else at least she can serve as a reminder of what happens when we are more concerned with an image than the ability of a so-called leader. It's a little callous, but so what. Do you think she gives a crap about your plight?
Ditch Jigger
No don't. Don't let anyone forget why choosing someone should have everything to do with qualifications. Gimmicks wont cut it. See this post in 4 years as evidence. Despite all of the Bush baggage, McCain made it a horserace. It was 5% nationwide, but 2-3% in the states that swung the election. Some of them were 1% or statistical ties (like NC). Tell me that having the "devil worshipper" on the ticket wouldn't have made a difference when the economy became the central issue "…if catching fish is your only objective, you are either new to the game or too narrowly focused on measurable results.” - D. The ones that thought to pick her when she clearly wasnt ready are the ones I doubt care for our plight. Dont confuse who the real losers are... The Dude
If the Republicans want to save any face they will back Palin and Ron Paul in the future... LOL! No, no, no. It's just the opposite. If the Republicans want to save face they need to distance themselves from Palin.
Ditch Jigger
Nice boobs and a tight ass can really affect men in strange ways I think she's hot too. I'd probably enjoy sitting down with her over a few beers and talking about salmon fishing, hunting and a whole bunch of things. But sitting a few feet away from the red phone? No thanks. Hell, I'd love to have a woman in the Oval Office who's a crack rifle shot, and who knows how to fillet a fish. Just not this one "…if catching fish is your only objective, you are either new to the game or too narrowly focused on measurable results.” - D. Sudsy
Don't let anyone forget why choosing someone should have everything to do with qualifications. Yet Obama won I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
Homerisadope
A cocky zealot. Bad news. That said, it was the McCain campaign's decision to tout her as worthy of being VP. They were wrong. Ordinary ****ing people - I hate 'em.

Gmofftarki
Tell me that having the "devil worshipper" on the ticket wouldn't have made a difference when the economy became the central issue It wouldn't have affected the outcome at all. Romney, far moreso than McCain, is Bush 2.0 "fiscally liberal, religious whackjob conservative moron". "Let's implement socialized healthcare just like I did in Mass". "Oh, wait? The state's broke because of that? Umm, the federal government is more efficient!" The federal government is the least efficient, top-heavy, bureaucratic hellhole in this country. I'd love to know how many of our tax dollars are being spent changing the signs on the outsides of post offices every year when they get re-named, but I"m afraid it might depress me. Not to mention that there's a big ass difference between finance and the economy. Like it or not, there were 2 choices for VP this year: 1. Tom Ridge 2. Sarah Palin Nobody else would have even been under consideration. Quote:Originally Posted by Mark LevinLiberals tell you the government sucks, and they want more of it! Cantilever
Yeah you guys all dont like Paul either.... I really dont understand the current republicans... even after this election.... Only mistake Palin made was accepting.... But who could turn down an offer like that? She clearly wasnt ready, yet you guys will blame her, but if she comes back in 8 years or so you will all probably turn face again and be all about her. Its kinda shamefull that some of you guys were talking baout her as the next big thing, then quickly turn your backs on her. Some loyality.... Maybe you guys can get Bush in again...
