Lami inshore classic 10 footer

i have an opportunity to purchase a lamiglass inshore classic one piece 10 footer. im in need of a good surf rod, and this seems like a fantastic deal however, the "inshore" in its name, as well as the full cork grips, leads me to believe it may not be suited to surf fishing( im more used to cork tape thin grips). i believe it is a special order rod, as i cant find any info on it. what are your opinions on this rod? i did a search, but couldnt find any info on a 10 foot inshore classic.

Wow I didn't know the IC blanks came that long. It does sound indeed like a special order rod. BTW cork is OK for the surf but it does not last very long nor is it easily replaceable compared to cork tape.

 

What's the rod rated for?

i believe its rated 15-40# line and 1-4 ounces. i was also surprized by the length.

i can get this for around 100 bucks in very good condition. if i was to purchase it, is it possible to remove the cork grips when they wear away and replace them with cork tape????????

i know nothing about that rod but what is so bad about cork grips? I guess they get slippery if you're slingin' eels but other than that
