Lemon Sharks down here are a by catch when grouper fishing on the reefs/hard bottom. I have caught 3 of them and all on 4/0 Gammi Octopus Circles. The inshore sharks around these parts are the Bulls, Bonnets,Black Tips, And Hammer Heads. Hope this info helps!smile.gif

Your hooks are designed for your bait, not for the specie...for large bait, use large hooks, small bait, small hooks....the bigger the bait, the bigger the sharks you will catch...although many small ones will take pieces off it, the bigger ones take it whole. I've caught lemons down here in FL, up to 7-8 ft....mostly on whole or half bunker, pogy, or fatbacks to us, down here. I like a 7 or 8 ought for the big bait...

The inshore shark bite is about done for the year....there are still sharks out there but most have moved offshore.

Hooks> use circle hooks it will be easier on you and the shark.

size does depend on your bait and your gear.

And where you will be fishing from.....If you get larger size hooks, make sure to open up the gap alittle....this will help for bigger bait, and give you a better hookup.....
