Voldemars
Causeway B&T. Last exit before bridges. East on Montauk Highway few hundred yards on left. Have everything and anything you need. Good prices, good people. ???? ?????? Causeway in Wantagh ????? I go there all the time but cant figure out your directions. If you are on the Wantagh Parkway headed south to the beaches - you must get off going WEST on Merrick Road Exit 6W (same as mtk hwy but called Merrick Road in Nassau County) Then the shop will be on your RIGHT. Bright yellow building can't miss it. If you do then there is KWAKs just down the street next to Mill Pond also on the right side. v.
Voldemars
OR - if you are on the RM causeway heading south you can get off at Captree State Park exit and go to Captree B&T - that is the closest to the RM beaches. v.
gadabout
Saltwaters and Causeway B&T are your best bets. The are both close to the roadways and both usually have good bait. It would use Captree B & T only as a last resort, unless of course you need a new Snoopy rod.

jaw280
The BT at captree doesnt have very much stuff there... I go to saltwaters because its real convienent I've been going to Saltwaters (939 Montauk Hwy., West Islip, NY 11795). Last time they had some very fresh large bunker. I've caught keepers on their salted clams, which are so tough they almost never fall off the hook.

Left out some bait for me one night when I got off work late. Prices are just as good!!!! One Fish from the Surf, Equals 10 Fish on a Boat! spiegs71
and stopped in at Saltwaters last weekend with my 4 yo I had a giftcard for my B-day so I picked up a few plugs and something for the little guy. Guys there were showing my son the green crabs - he had a blast. Real nice guys and good selection - would recommend them
Fish Face
Saltwaters. It's the closest. Clean store and friendly service.
Adam D
Yup... baits good there. We got frozen bunker at captree, FROZEN solid... same for the clams. If i fish bait i stop at saltwaters. There is also a LIL tiny place in amityville/copiague on montauk that ive been meaning to stop in and check out. Starts with a C, cant remember the name. I work in massapequa so i'll hafta try them for bait next time im on my way home. Its not a BAD thing but saltwaters closes at 7, so if yer night fishing and need bait, gotta get there before they close. They have a good lure selection but the good stuff usually sells out fast. I always have a tricky time finding that EXACT lure i want, but they have a lot of other stuff if the EXACT lure isnt there. THey should give us commision for sending people there, lol. Basically, if you can wait, buy it from SOL online, if you need it right away, try causeway or saltwaters.
medic6973
Saltwaters is great. Awesome selection, tons of high quality stuff. And super cool and helpful staff. If you're going via the Moses Pkwy you should definitely stop, even if you dont need anything, just take a look around.
