Hey guys ill get started by saying im obviously new the the surf fishing life....Im 21 years old and live in monmouth county...I went out on a buddies boat a few times and caught several bass and now im hooked...I bought a whole bunch of gear and im ready to go...Im going out tonight but heard the seas were very rough so maybe ill try the bay if there in there still?!?!? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks in advance all!!

Welcome to the site.

 

I haven't been out recently and so can't speak to conditions. At this point, the only advice or suggestion I can offer is when the mob starts demanding that you tell a joke, claiming some rule that noobies have to tell a joke when they first get here, tell them to pound sand, because no such official rule exists.

 

And stay away from zig zag...he doesn't like to talk to people. smile.gif

Black bombers work very well, especially when sand eels are present. I'd use the croc's during the day.

 

I believe the silver ones work under a moon lite sky, but I'm a hack.
