Now i don't have a ton of money I'm only 19 and recently lay off workmad.gif . Also i am really only familiar with the beaches at ocean city and sea isle are there any fish being caught there or do i need to go else where?

You trying to catch a "stripper" or a fish. I am not too familiar with your are but there are a lot of strippers near Atlantic City. You can catch them with cold hard cash.

Regarding the fishing. I am sure there are a lot of folks with rods and reels that would sell/give/lend you something to get started.

I would try posting a WTB "Want to Buy" thread in the BST " Buy Sell Trade Forum". Hard to answer your question without knowing how much you have set aside for some equipment but your best bet is something used. The BST is the perfect place.

Sometimes the best thing to do is ask a question letting us know exactly what you intend to do.

Do you intend to plug or bait fish? Off the beach or off the rocks or in the inlet or a canal?

For plugging a Spheros 5000 with a 9ft Tsunami Airwave may be a good starter setup for about $100 and then use the remainder for some bombers, a mag darter, some line, some leader, some snaps, some swivels, and some bucktails, couple metals and maybe a redfin. Plastic catches just as good as wood these days and you can be in the game for less than $150 easily. Maybe a bit more if you don't have a plug bag and need one. Not neccessary but nice to have.

If bait is what you are looking to do, you will need a heavier rod 10ft. with a Shimano Baitrunner 4500B.
