The Fisherman
I had a feast or famine October flyfishing in RI. One week I went three times and caught zero bass. The next week, I went twice and took over 70 (really). This week, 7 hours produced three bass for two of us. We were fishing mostly on the insides of tidal ponds, but we also spent a significant amount of time fishing beach break. Flies that produced well were September Nights (3.5 & 6+") and 3" anchovy patterns (like the RLS Inconspicuous). Of course, there were nights when thos same flies went ignored. Tis the nature of the beast. :-) "We fish for pleasure; I for Mine, you for yours."-- James Leisenring
