Beachbuster
I'm looking to buy a Tica 3000 or 4000 reel and would like to try braid again. I'm thinking of going Fireline, maybe powerpro. Does anyone have any thoughts on this reel with braid?
Darth Baiter
Extremely braid friendly, I have 9 of the Taurus models and should know. The Libra, Dolphin, and Camry's are also just as braid friendly. I'm just not a big PP fan. Switched to Stealth years ago and never looked back. Good luck finding a Taurus, if that's what you want, discontinued. Although this place has a few left I believe at a great price: http://www.stripersonline.net/cart/s...25997415.13652 "Endeavor to persevere" Lone Watie
D.J. Aanensen
I used PP on it and never had any problems at all. Good reel for the price...
moiman
Taurus is extremely braid friendly. Solid, smooth reel and good price for all the features you get. Don't know why they discontinued this line for. Best reel in their lineup imo. Just be careful of the older model silver colored ones. Not saltwater friendly. The one's in Tim's store is the newer one which is all good as well as any black colored ones. Grab em why you can. You won't regret it
PennRemasterd
I own a Taurus and only use braid on it. It is very braid friendly. One of the smooothest reels I own. 14 Ball bearing system. I love it. What kind of rod are you putting it on??? One Fish from the Surf, Equals 10 Fish on a Boat!
