fishnmagician
today he has announced he only supported McCain out of loyalty, and has been VERY effusive about Obama all morning. Eggy 10-13 LAA 7-14 50-50 2-
Kings over Queens
I've got no reason to be loyal to McCain. I will show the President Elect the respect that he's earned. My record on this is well established, and if you'd like, please feel free to show me where I've been anything other than respectful, and requested respect and decorum during the campaign. He has acomplished a great thing. This cannot be disputed, but please, do not consider my statement "offusive praise." By the way, Imus has said throughout the campaign that he was being loyal to McCain because McCain was loyal to him. It wasn't something that was just announced this morning. You would know this if you listened to the show regularly, which I'm starting to suspect that you do. #otterlivesmatter

Kinda flies in the face of McCain's "Country First" slogan Party and personal loyalty before country, very patriotic Destroying psychological barriers to the stateless society of free people since 1966. Kings over Queens
just asking if your Man Imus will be affecting your opinion of our 44th President. I prefer to base my opinion on what President Elect Obama will, or doesn't, accomplish, during his time in office. I'm certainly not going to root for his failure. I'm hoping he does well, but again, don't read that as "effusive praise." #otterlivesmatter

fishnmagician
I posted what I heard on Imus this morning, you said it was an opinion that he has held for a LONG time, and that I would know that if I listened to him..... and then use my ignorance of this long held position to assert that I HAVE been listening for a while. I wonder if you've been listening, not because of this particular thread, but because you've asked me about other things you've heard on Imus. So lets clear it up. How often do you listen to him? #otterlivesmatter
fishnmagician
So lets clear it up. How often do you listen to him? rarely.... I used to listen to Mark Marin when he was on in Air America, almost exclusively, when he was off I turned the dial a lot more. when football season is on I listen to ESPN radio almost exclusively, but ONLY football season, or prior to the NFL draft. I have been carpooling for months, and listen to either ESPN radio or my ipod when I do. but my listening to Imus varies depending on what else is on elsewhere, and if I do tune him in, who his guest is. I listen to Imus like I listend to hannity on the ride home, enough to know what the flavor tastes like. Eggy 10-13 LAA 7-14 50-50 2-
Kings over Queens
rarely.... I listen to Imus like I listend to hannity on the ride home, enough to know what the flavor tastes like. Fair enough, however, given that, and the questions you've asked me previously, you'd certainly know that IMUS didn't just announce this morning that he was supported McCain out of loyalty. He's been saying all along. To me, it seems as if you are trying to portray IMUS as jumping ship, and I don't think that's the case. Can I (or we) expect that if those (like me) who voted for McCain, show President Elect Obama any support whatsoever, that we will be accused of flip flopping? #otterlivesmatter
fishnmagician
KoQ, I have NEVER heard Imus say that before, and as I said, I have only listened on VERY rare occasions since I started ride sharing in the Summer. I posted what I THOUGHT was a revelation made by Imus. If I knew it was a long held public opinion, I wouldn't have made an issue of it, because you can easily dismiss the point now by saying, "Yeah, he's always said it". and the point I thought I was making, vanishes. As I suspected, you weren't paying close attention to his interview with Sen. McCain. #otterlivesmatter
