Skate Bait
SAN FRANCISCO: It turns out that San Francisco voters didn't think naming a local sewage plant after President George W. Bush was a fitting tribute to the president - or the plant. Voters on Tuesday rejected Measure R, which would have changed the name of the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant to the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. More than 69 percent had voted against the idea. The measure's supporters said it was an appropriate way to memorialize the 43rd president, who they blame for a long list of national woes from the Iraq war to the slumping economy. But some critics had pointed out the name switch would have been unfair - to the hardworking sewage plant. The White House had declined comment on the measure, but other Republicans have denounced it as childish and stupid. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/11/05/...ial-Putdown.php Politics is like driving - it's "R" to go backwards, and "D" to go forward. Roadrunner
Turnabout being fairplay, I've decided that every time I have to go take a dump, I'm going to say, 'Excuse me. I have to go take a Barack.' "I think, that all right thinking people, are sick & tired of being told that they're sick & tired of being sick & tired. I, for one, am not. And I'm sick & tired of being told that I am."

Raynman
Progressive. Forward Thinking. Inclusive. Open Minded. Broad minded. Tolerant. Generous. So much better than the Party of Hate that they rail against. (same ilk, different label) No lie, in the jail she was yelling "Suck my udders"! Soundfisher
Goes to show how vicious and radical that city has become. They make me embarrassed to call myself an American. Then again, I know I'm not like them, so in the end, I just say, "Eff em." Kikkoman Pro Staff

I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.
Robert Williams
what are you talking about? Just smile, nod your head, look away and walk briskly in the other direction. That's the best way I've found to handle the situation when confronted with someone who's having an "episode".
likwid
Goes to show how vicious and radical that city has become. First its naming buildings then its suicide bombers right? The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
