jbt114
I'm out on the front beach at Moriches today. Two guys at the tip of the jetty. My buddy in the truck. I'm not paying attention, trying to remove some weeds that rode up the line to the top guide. Line gets wrapped around the tip. Wave hits me in the middle of my torso. Knocks me backwards and down I go. That wakes you up real quick. Regained my footing and looked around with that " I meant to do that" look on my face. I don't think anyone saw me. Stayed nice and dry with the Rampage top. Thanks Kadir. Chris I'm on a bridge to a better day...
patno6
as soon as you get up, the first thing you always do is look around.....even if you broke a bone, you'd still look around before you reacted to the pain....i always love that. fisher1630
The worst are those small ones that just come up and hit you in the groin. Then you really look like a fool getting doubled over by a little wave.
emgred
Chris Be safe out there my friend! Ed A Curmudgeon's reputation for malevolence is undeserved. They're neither warped nor evil at heart. They don't hate mankind, just mankind's absurdities.

jbt114
Gald to hear you're okay, how's your back holding up? The back's OK... Thanks for asking. Joe... Yeah, I know. It's just so important to be aware of your surroundings. Gotta keep one eye on the ocean. First time I was ever knocked down, I had my back to the water. This time, I just wasn't paying attention. tiedtight
Safety first! Well since the thread there, I'll share. Yesterday a piece of paper fell off my desk. As I bent over to pick it up the wheels of the chair went the other way, flat on my butt in the middle of my office with the chair flipped over on the other side of the room. There's a first time for everything.
