Did you watch his acceptance speech,

and did it put any of your fears aside.

I really appreciate the fact that on the moment of his winning the election,

he understands the job just began,

not that it was over,

there will be no vacations at the ranch,

the guy is going to work.

I think the before and after pictures for Obama will be stunning,

because he will age terribly as he shoulders the burden of all the problems we face.

Q1: No

Re: Vacations @ The Ranch, Obama asks, "What's a Ranch?"

Interesting point about the aging process. He'll probably look pretty rough in four years. I hope not to see him endure the ravages of eight years in office. Purely out of concern for his health and well being.

do you prefer pie in the sky rhetoric over reality?

I'd rather have a sober man who realizes the problems didn't happen overnight, and the solutions won't be easy,

to someone who is looking for a gimmicky home run, quick fix to complicated problems.

will it bother you if he takes his time and pulls troops out of Iraq in a responsible fashion?

or do you demand he pull out in the middle of the night in fulfillment of GOP fearmongering?

I thought his speech was incredibly gracious to the GOP,

considering American Voters gave them a collective boot to the curb.

is it me or do you notice that evertime a level headed person asks a question of the die hard republicans in regards to obama they never fail to answer almost as stupidly as our current president would???

the guy clearly is an incredible speaker who has more intelligence in the dumps he takes than our current guy, who ran a PERFECT campaign, has surrounded himself so far with exceptionally talented and smart people. this shows me that he is organized, has a plan, and is willing to work to make this country better.. like him or not, he has a plan.. unlike "george, call me at the ranch" bush or the other republicans who all they can do is try to scare the "not so sharpest tools in the shed" people of the heartland of this nation"

Bush lost me when he said in regards to the war "Ill let god show me what to do"... did god tell you to go into hiding on the ranch you perverbial putz????

I am going to give Obama the same benefit of doubt that I gave Bush 41 Clinton and Bush 43. 2 of those 3 disappointed me but only one of those cost me a career. Obama has almost every political idea opposite to mine and he has both the house and senate which Is not good. there is still a chance he will not make things worse.

there seems to be a determination that NO serious question be responded to in an adult fashion.

I post nonsense,

but I try to limit it to the troll type threads.

I did think that Obama was VERY gracious in victory,

and so was the crowd of people there.

where McCain's crowd was booing Obama,

the large crowd there to see Obama was very supportive of hearing his bi partisan ideas.

Is it me or do you notice that everytime a level headed person asks a question of a die hard Obama supporter they are labeled a racisist and the answer is usually, "but, but, but, Bush". Bush wasn't on my ballot, did someone forget to print his name?

He really had/has no choice but to be 'gracious', considering the Dems do not have a 'super majority' in the House and Senate. He is smart enough to realize if he 'pokes' the 'dog' too hard, he could 'hard line' the Reps against him. Think about how much he can accomplish then.

Don't the Dems have the same edge the GOP had when they were busy flexin' in DC?

he's an adult,

and behaving as such.

the GOP acted like a bunch of kids when they got the majority,

and the public rejected them for it.

I think Obama understands the history lesson.

its you, I do not notice that, quite the contrary, people who support Obama are actualyl quite level headed and open to conversation while the VAST majority of republicans in this country are like the crowd that watched Mccain gracefully bow out.. they are They are god loving, haters of poeple who dont believe in what they do..
