obtuseangler Posted November 5, 2008 Report Share Posted November 5, 2008 I moved down to North Carolina this year and was a bit apprehensive at the "reddness" of the state. But after last night I've got a blue U.S. representative, a new blue Senator (bye bye Libby Dole) a blue Governor and a brand new blue President of the United States. After voting so many years in New York, having my vote really make a difference in my new home state made the experience of voting even more wonderful. What a privilege to take small part in such a transformational moment in our nations history. So to all my new fellow blue stater's, God bless America!! Its blue because right thinking folks like me have moved down here from other BLUE STATES to spread the wisdom and enlighten the unwashed mountain folk and coastal guttersnipes. If you don't like us yankees buying our way in and transforming this state from a racist cesspool of Jessie Helms voting rednecks into a civilized state, move to the Reichstag of Texas. You worked your life out in the northeast where you belong and are now bringing your capital down to us to donate to the state in the twilight of your life.
