Steve in Mass
In Massachusetts, Libertarian Senate Candidate Robert Underwood received 3.2% of the vote. This is important, because in doing so, The Libertarian Party is once again recognized as a major political party in Massachusetts. Therefore, they don't have to waste time and money to get their candidates on ballots here the next four years. To be recognized as a major party in Massachusetts, at least one of the party's candidates needs to obtain at least 3% of the vote in a statewide election.
