I've gotten the pleasure to meet him a few times. I feel sorry that he lost and that I'm one of the people who voted him out but Himes is right. Shays has changed. The GOP is going to have to reinvent the brand, and it might be a while until they can gain the fiscal credibility to back their message. Losing Shays hurts bad in the scheme of things, but it could hasten the rebuilding process. I agree that the carcass of the GOP is going to be real tough sell.
