Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

View PostCape Cod Bay surface temps are 55°; Long Island waters, N and S, are now below 60°; Northerly / NE winds forecast for the next few days... the big push has got to be under way. What say you?

Fishalicious,

I'll try to raise the bar here and give you a sensible answer devoid of sarcasm (I know, it's difficult to find those nowadays):

The key right now is to put your time in. Yes, I know, we all have obligations, but squeeze in a much time as you can. Be on the beach, in the back, in the inlets, out on a rock at M etc. as much as you can. I don't mean fishing on bad tides or bad winds just because you can at that time; try to time it so that you are fishing the right area for whatever particular wind and/or tide works best for that area. The fish are definitely on the move. I have customers in RI and MA who keep me informed of what's coming down the pike and it looks good for the next week or so.

Get out there and fish wink.gif
