Is it only field 5 open now? and i have to walk all the way to 2 if I wanna fish anywhere near demo?!

psychoz1111
I saw a sign there yesterday that said it will be closed November 3rd for the season and will reopen in the spring.
mml4
The bathrooms etc. are closed. The beach is open to fishermen only. Don't forget to put your permit in the window or you will get a ticket.Same deal at 3. Marc "Don't mess with old farts...age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! BS and brilliance only come with age and experience!" In favor of an immediate moratorium on both Commercial and Recreational taking of Striped Bass. psychoz1111
Ah! So now we have to drive to field 5 to take a leak.
Adam D
They actually have a semi-baricade up now. The baricade that was at democrat has been moved to the first turn around. Arrows pointing to the rightt... and the authorized permit vehicles only behind this point sign. Im not sure if that means we can go to field 2.. i assume it does. A guy pulled into demo as I was airing up, said they were busting chops at the fields... lots of PD on robert moses tonight, not many fishing. psychoz1111
You might be able to park where the police station is. THey usually allow people to fish on those piers, so go into the office and say you want a one day pass, theyll charge you seven dollars for park entry fee, but free if you have the Empire Pass. Then you park there, and walk to field 2? A long walk, but an alternative.
Kalispimenta
So 4x4 is open? Can we still drive and park @ filed#2? Are we considered authorized vehicles? David A.K.A Dave the wildman

DarterMan
The facilities at RM2 are closed for the season, but NYS Night Parking permit and NYS 4x4 Beach Vehicle permit holders are permitted in the lot 24/7 (until 12/31/08, that is). From 1/1/09 to the start of 2009 permit validity RM2 will be off-limits to all. RM3 is open at night with either of the above permits. RM5 is closed at night.
