Wayne Tj
I use 40# mono for seabass, tog, and porgies. When they're chewing it don't matter if it's fluoro or not. America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave.

mickrazz
You must have a lot of money if you're even thinking of using floro for c-bass. The Magnificent Presence
seabass
Why anyone would even think of wasting the cash for flouro is beyond me . You can buy a 700 yd spool of 50lb Big Game for $6.99 and make all the droppers you want . A seabass will eat just about anything and after 40 plus years of fishing for them I've never known them to be leader shy . ---

1jerry
Why we are taking a poll on this? As said, seabass and porgies are dummies fish in the ocean. They eat anything they can find. So, you can use mono or fluoro as you want, since they make no difference to the fish, and if the money makes no difference to you. Regards to the hook size, if you really want to catch porgy, you can go as small as size 4 or even 6. Make sure find good hooks. Gamakastu octopus are the only ones I use. For seabass, again, it doesn't matter, but 2/0 - 5/0 are common size. I use 2/0 or 3/0. Again, I caught them on size 4 too. However, if you want to catch both on the same hook, I use hook size #1. which leaders would you use to make dropper loop rigs for seabass and porgies, mono or fluoro???
