Very nice... haven't seen that one up here, but in this part of the metromess, you'll see about a 2 or 3:1 ration of car stickers for McCain.

The neighborhood is 6:1 for McCain.

Pretty funny.

Not as funny as the fact most 401k and stock portfolios

are only worth change since the GOP ran the economy into the ground.

But hey, if it make you right-wingers feel better pretending that the economy

is "fundamentally sound" and Obama will ruin everything, have at it.

Meanwhile, the reality-based part of the country will start cleaning up

BushCo's too many to list international disasters.

punk, the economy is in the crapper in large part to the demokrat party idea of "Diversity in Home Ownership."They forced banks to stop red lining and make loans to folks who had no way in hell of paying them back, then these loans were bundled and sold, a lot of them to Freddie and Fannie. A lot of the idiots took adjustable rate loans and when the rates readjusted they defaulted and took the economy with them, so if you want to blame some entity, try your own party and the bums who defaulted on their mortgages.cwm40.gif

GWB left us by the side of the road long ago. His failure to cut spending and reduce the size and intrusiveness of government sealed that deal a while back. A less liberal candidate than JF Kerry probably would have taken the prize.

Rest assured, there are still very conservative (real conservative) areas out there, big ones, with lots of people. I guess we just need to focus on our local elections and see how things work out, who knows, we may be voting on more than a President in 3 or 4 years.

Nobody forced the banks to make loans! They did that out of greed! They wanted more loans to make more securities to sell, to leverage, etc...

Get with it - there is no law forcing the BANKS to do anything! What right wing rubbish have you swallowed - hook, line & sinker!

Only Fannie/Freddie had any influence from the govt! Most of the mess is the banks jumping on the bandwagon when they saw they could make lotsa money!

Too funny............. cwm27.gif .............. all the posts worrying what will happen to America if Obama is elected.

Anyone worried about the huge mess we have on our hands now?

I`m surprised there is`nt a C&P from one of those websites claiming they have information that Obama is going to build huge plantations and enslave white people to work the fields and maintain the property which will be owned by groups of black people who have relatives that were once enslaved.

As far as the Dems not being involved....it wasn't all greed by the banks

In 1993, Attoney General Janet Reno actually went on record threatening banks who declined to increase their portfolios of risky loans with refusals to allow mergers, increased regulation and DOJ investigations. One can only presume that the Democrats were especially interested in these loans because they were going to likely Democratic voters, including a large number of illegal immigrants.
