stryperStalker
I was at Sandy Neck for a bit this weekend. Didn't see any action, although we were only there for about an hour or so. Talked briefly with some guys that had had a bit of luck the previous weekend. From what I've heard, the canal has had some shorts here and there. It's looking like I may only have one more weekend before Thanksgiving. Then it's off to the cellar to get ready for May.
BassAddict
There are things happening but it is tough going to get good fish - hit and miss (mostly miss). However there are good fish to be had cuz I've seen with my own eyes chasing ****** over the weekend. There are also some nice fish left in the bay yet to go through. jrom
Appreciate the info, might go to Scorton Sat. for the evening tide, and drift some eels and worms see whats about, start at the bridge and head down before the tide, come back on the outgoing. Ditch Jigger
Actually--I was crossing the Sagamore Bridge at 10 to 9 this morning on my way to the dentist's office. From the look of it, there was a blitz going on right under me "…if catching fish is your only objective, you are either new to the game or too narrowly focused on measurable results.” - D. mag minnow
I'm giving the Canal a shot this Thursday night through Saturday morning. I figure the last chance this year for me. Weather looks snotty so I expect to see few others out there. If I don't make it out this w-end I'll regret/be thinking about it until Spring. Good luck to anyone else who may be out there...Time's running out.
