Oneofour Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 Ever since I got out Thursday night for my first time plugging at night I have been hooked. All I could think about this weekend was getting out to fish tonight. I made a plug bag out of one of those stupid coolers you get from outdoor life magazine everytime you renew your issue. I modified it with duct tape and I cut up water bottles to hold the plugs. This afternoon I had to run some errands and as I pulled into my driveway I closed my windows. Well my rod somehow wound up outside of the window and the window ended it like a guillotine cutting the tip right off . Its a brand new tica surge. I was furious and frustrated. I know if I broke the rod down like I always do it would not have happened . I just kept it as is because I knew I would be fishing tonight. It turns out when I made the turn into my driveway, my cooler tipped over, knocking the rod butt to the left and the rod tip to the right out of the window. It completely ruined my day...its not like $80 comes easy to someone in college full time working at shop rite. I contacted Tica and I am hoping for a reply email tomorrow. Wish me luck. I hope everyone did well fishing tonight. I may be able to get out tomorrow night since I dug my first surf rod out of the attic. I often wonder why I am not fishing when I am sitting on the computer. Then I realize it is because my rod is broken because I was lazy. I'm still trying to figure out what plugs to use/when to use them/ and also what retrieves work best. I did kill the blues the other day out back in lbi on some metal. That was fun!
