psupete95 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 Fished SE CT just before dusk and hooked seven (landed 3) of the biggest bluefish I have ever caught. All except one on Menhaden colored spooks at almost dead low tide. They were all in the low to mid teens. Absolutely destroyed my chepo Cabelas saltstriker combo! Felt like my arm was gonna fall off! Small blues are a pain but man those big gorillas are fun to catch. They had me whistling that farewell spanish ladies song from Jaws! Benz Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 sounds like you had a good day unlike me. went fishing with zerosleep all day today until now and caught nada. one nice hit in derby and that was it. we fished milford, west haven, branford, and madison. o well. i guess we all have these days.
