AquaSkinz Customer Service - Two Big Thumbs Up

Just thought I'd share my experience this week. I purchased an AquaSkinz Large Pouch towards the end of last season. Last week I noticed that the fabric on the belt-loop side had inexplicably torn so I contacted AquaSkinz via email on their website. I did not have a receipt and honestly don't recall registering it so they were taking my word on it.

 

Got a prompt reply saying to mail it back to them for a look. Mailed it to them via first class USPS on Tuesday from NJ (they're in NY). Had a brand new Large Pouch in hand by today (Friday). It was sent UPS Priority Service so it was essentially overnighted to me.

 

Cost to me - just the postage to send it to them. Couldn't have asked for better service or a better way to stand behind their product. Well done and thank you.

None of the negative reports were about the service. The negative reports were about the quality of the surf bags.

BTW - The Aquaseal seems to solve my problems with the small surf bag.

I personally did not have such a good experience with the CS or quality of their product. I have a large and small plugging bag. My large plugging bag inserts melted one hot day. After contact CS they told me it was probably because I had soft plastics in there that caused some chemical reaction to melt the insert headscratch.gif Net, net of my experience was that if I wanted a new insert I had to purchase a new one at full price and pay for shipping. My buddy also has surf top where the zipper broke after a couple uses and no service there either. Based on my experience and my buddies I will not be purchasing AquaSkinz again.

My experience has soured me bit on AS. Had a problem with the small bag awhile ago. Eventually it got repaired (my opinion is that it should have been replaced immediately as I had only used it tree times). So the company finally made good on fixing it, but the process of getting there was unpleasant. It was one reason I did not buy a top from them. To be fair, others have had positive experiences as noted.

It's not the size of the fish, it's the size of the smile on your face.
