eddy
would Obama try to do that? I know he can't according to the Constitution. But would he try to get Congress to come up with laws, which are according to him, morally correct? Such as people with a high income should help the poor and middle class out by spreading the wealth. jmjftw
read my post again. a few people here say you can't legislate morality. well, would Obama be trying to get Congress to do that with his tax plan to "spread the wealth around" We tried it your way. We got robbed. I'm over the Republican/NeoCon "trickle down" effect. Thier greed got in the way. McCain HAS NO PLAN.....He is George Bush only older. Tell me what is so bad about giving the middle class a flippin tax break??? Doesn't the middle class deserve to buy "name brand" cereal once in a while? Should we save up for a box....? Or are we stuck eating store brand....? You think health care is expensive now?Wait until it's free.

JimP
ALL laws are based upon morality - hence the legislating of morality. I think what it is you fear, is the absence of morality. The democratic platform is devoid of morals or even an attempt at instituting values or ethics. its "do it if it feels good"; "don't judge"; "pay no price for what you do", etc. I don't fear Obama legislating morality - he is without morals. I fear him instituting his ideology via cold, hard reasoning as to what HE feels is best for the country. He is a sad, pathetic little person who has a serious Napolean complex. biggestsquid
What makes any of you think Obomba is concerned about the Constitution? His regards to that are only as he can change it. He will position his marxist judges throughout our court system and commence writing legislation from the bench. The blissful ignorance that may elect him may well be our ulitmate downfall ---- COMRADES!!! Biggestsquid"You fish and then you die --- or you don't fish and die anyway. Your choice."
