SteveC
To make this easy on everyone: What can I expect from using a rod with a reel not rated for each other? ie, the reel is too small IMO for the rod? >>>------------->
D.J. Aanensen
Lack of control, casting distance, fatigue on the arms if they are not balanced. Stares from other people. Loss of a nice fish if the reel can't hold enough line of the proper test. Why not look for a reel that does match the rod? You can get decent reels from $50 - $600 to match your budget. D.J. SteveC
I am looking to build my own 11' surf/spin combo with a budget of $150. I found one At BPS for around that price. I never heard anything about the reel in the combo. >>>------------->
