View PostKroks ...all the time spent building a lure and try and save pennies on the part that attaches the hook to it ? not me ..

I agree %100... I dont care if the paint falls off, even if the damn plug gets spintered into little peices, I can make another just like it... as long as the hardware doesnt fail...

The majority of my plugs are fished on wire, the unforging nature of that type of fishing alone is enough for me to "go the distance" and use the best possible hardware...

Come on truthfully when was the last time you guys lost "A fish of a lifetime" because the body swivel failed? Was it a Rossco? or a spro? I doubt it was either type.

If it did fail I would put it on your inexperience in landing big fish rather than the equipment.

Face it your line, drag, rod, guide or snap will fail before a belly swivel.

You have more chance of losing a big fish by drivers error than a a new swivel coming apart.

A Krock is just another piece of unneeded bling that is being added to plugs. It isn't for the fish, it's there for the fisherman.tongue.gif

I was waiting to hear a broken spro story - I've caught bluefin tuna to around 120 lbs on 330 Spros - and strike was set around 3/4 drag on a shimano 30w. If you broke one on a Striper I'd hate to see that fishes lip smile.gif
