With the focus now being getting those water temps up, I was wondering what the upcoming storm will do. Given strong NE winds for 24-36 hours, will that help or hurt the water temps?

PS - Hey, Mother Nature, a few sunny days in the 60's wouldn't kill ya! smile.gif

A northeast wind generally warms the water by blowing warm water from the gulfstream closer to shore. The rain that accompanies it can be a different story in the back bays. If it's a cold rain and a lot of it, you can do the math.

The storm won't help up here but usually after a big storm the winds go SW and that will help. They are already getting a few fish on the outside at matunuck. I guess the season has started. Better get out there, It will be over in 8 short months! smile.gif
