Does President Bush ever keep his word?

President Bush appeared to backtrack Monday

from his 2004 pledge to fire anyone involved

in leaking the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame.

WASHINGTON (CNN) --

Tuesday, July 19, 2005;

"I think it's best if people wait until the investigation is complete

before you jump to conclusions," Bush said at a joint news conference

with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

"I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts.

And if someone committed a crime, they will no longer work

in my administration," Bush said.

That appeared to differ from a response Bush gave in June 2004,

when he was asked whether he stood by his promise to fire whoever

was found to have leaked Plame's name. "Yes," Bush said at the time.

Don't we, The American People, deserve better?

Maybe we are reaping as we have sown all this corruption

and scandals didn't happen overnight?

What do you think? Is he honorable and moral?

Can we respect a man who doesn't keep his word?

Who has been convicted of leaking Plame's name?

Let me guess, it is the hostess at the Olive Garden. "Secret agant Plame, party of two, your secret table behind the revolving false wall is ready."

Who do you think should be fired?

Anyone?

Lets look at the crime(s), the outing of a covert CIA agent,

exposing Brewster Jennings as a front company,

and violation of our national security (treason?).

Although there are spinmeister pushing the meme that Plame was not covert.

That's a whole nother thread.

The evidence point to the Veep's office as the source of the leak.

This cabal includes but is not limited to:

Richard Cheney

Richard Armitage

Carl Rove

Lewis Libbey

So based on Bush's own words...

to fire anyone involved in leaking the name...

The President should be asking for resignations, right?

The real damage to America is this:

Since Watergate and the pardon process really got rolling,

we have seen the office of the president insulating itself from legal accountability.

As long as the little fish like Libby don't incriminate the Pres and Veep

he will asurely be pardoned before Bush leaves office.

Bush Sr. did a similar thing by pardoning the Iran-Contra criminals too.

There is a pattern, and the players the same.

let's rephrase,

Bush INITIALLY promised to fire anyone involved with leaking her name.....

this promise changed to committing a crime after Ashcroft stepped aside and it became apparent it wouldn't be a white wash.....

bottom line,

even IF the standard was "committed a crime" you don't need a conviction to know a crime was committed.

she was a protected agent (or employee whatever you want to call her) in the testimony of the Libby trial a CIA liason stated he told Cheney her identity was classified,

and yet we know Cheney had his staff dropping her name......

Dance and spin all ya want, Bush looks spineless in this case....

If he had no intention of doing anything about it,

If he didn't think leaking her name was wrong,

he should have simply said so.

you don't need a conviction to know a crime was committed.

So we just have someone decide who committed a crime? That ain't fair.

Who? You?

Dick van Patten maybe? Who decides?

Who decides?

stupid question,

the DECIDER does......

"Hey DICK, did you really leak her name and status knowing her identity was protected by the CIA"

that's a toughie.

HE SHOULD have done that years ago when Novack's story was released.
